Le Tour Yorkshire

The Tour De France arrived in Yorkshire this weekend and it was quite the spectacle. Having lived around this area for so long it was really impressive to see the effort all the locals had put into decorating the towns & local villages – a sea of yellow bikes & polka dots lined the streets.

We managed to get some great shots from the start at Harewood, some action shots in Otley and the finish in Harrogate.

Italian Wedding Malcesine Lake Garda

Viva Italia!

If you follow us on Instagram or Twitter  you will have noticed a few snaps from a number of locations, namely, New York & Italy (if you don’t follow us please feel free).

I just want to stress we do not live the jet set lifestyle, however much we want to, but the last 2 weeks just happened to coincide with 2 major events. Firstly the trip to New York was for Laura’s 30th Birthday celebration which was followed by a wedding on Lake Garda, Italy.

The Serpentine London Boats

London Calling

I was lucky enough to have a last minute dash down to London this week for a meeting and even though I am definitely a northern girl there is nowhere quite like London on a Sunny day.

Post meeting (exciting for me but maybe not so much for you guys) I headed over to our hotel overlooking Hyde Park, swift change out of my sweaty top & jeans which seemed perfect at 8am in the morning but not so cool at 2pm in the London heat and headed back out to stroll around Hyde Park.

Bank Holiday Happiness

I usually get major Bank Holiday blues but after a brilliant weekend away I’m enjoying looking back at hundreds of snaps and reminding myself that if we didn’t have to go back to normality these weekends wouldn’t be half as fun!

I’m originally from Norfolk and my Grandparents still live down there but I’m sad to say I don’t get down as often as I should, or would like to. So after a last minute online search we stumbled across a self-catering apartment with must-have hot tub (they weren’t lying when they said HOT).

Loved up in the Lakes

So The Boy and I * decided we should do something nice for our second wedding anniversary and go somewhere outside of Yorkshire.

* having been married only 2 years and being in my 20’s, calling him ‘husband’ seems so Victorian and serious, ‘Hubby’, ‘Hub’ make me cringe so ‘The Boy’ it is.

Not wanting to stray too far through risk of bursting into flames we decided on Windermere in the Lake District at a hotel called The Samling. And lovely it was too…
